NRCA’s Policy Concerning the Protection of Personal Information

The National Riding Club Association of Japan (a public interest incorporate association; hereinafter referred to as the “NRCA”) has established and hereby publishes its policy concerning the protection of personal information based on the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003; hereinafter referred to as the “APPI”).

  1. Handling Policy

    The NRCA strives to protect personal information in compliance with the matters stipulated within this policy in addition to related laws and regulations concerning personal information. The NRCA also strives toward ensuring the establishment and maintenance of management frameworks for the personal information protection at the organization and work toward the improvement of mechanisms relating thereto.

  2. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

    The NRCA specifies purposes of use for personal information in the course of business related to the popularization of horseback riding and the furtherance. Simultaneously, the NRCA also uses personal information within the scope required for the achievement of that purpose of use, except in cases where provisions exist within the APPI which stipulate that other actions can be taken.

  3. Appropriate Acquisition of Personal Information

    The NRCA acquires personal information by appropriate and lawful means.

  4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

    The NRCA never provides third parties with personal information without the prior consent of the individual to whom the information in question pertains, except in cases where provisions exist within the APPI which stipulates that other actions can be taken.

  5. Safety Management Measures

    The NRCA enacts appropriate safety management measures serving to ensure the prevention of loss, alteration, leakage and so on of personal information.
    Furthermore, the NRCA provides its executives and regular employees who handle personal information with training on the importance of personal information. At the same time, the NRCA provides appropriate supervision for contractors in cases where the handling of personal information is to be entrusted to contractors.

  6. Procedures for Requests for Disclosure and Other Requests, Complaints and Inquiries

    The NRCA establishes a contact desk to deal with the disclosure, amendment, ceasing of usage, and any other actions relating to personal information retained by the organization.
